Artist's Description

Deep inside a ceremonial chamber or kiva, Hopi boys are instructed in avoiding unacceptable behavior painted as a boldy striped Koshare clown. One of a group of kachinas burlesques unacceptable behavior to instruct the boys. The boys are between seven and 10 each sponsored by a repected male selected by the family.
